The condition of your hair is a revealing indicator of your general well being.
Brides often grow their hair longer so they can have further options for how to wear it on the day.
Its important to still have regular trims to keep those split ends at bay. The best thing to do is explain to your hairdresser that you’re growing you hair and just gets at least 1 cm cut every 6 weeks. If you leave your hair to grow with out trimming the ends will naturally split from brushing/heat changes and general washing just like a string will stray your hair will too.
A healthy diet plays a great part in the health of hair.
Hair is comprised largely of keratin protein, so ample protein levels must be guaranteed. This can be obtained by eating beans, seeds, grains, tofu, sprouts and fish. Minerals are also required for hair maintenance. The most abundant sources of minerals in the plant kingdom are found in sea vegetables: for example nori, hiliki, arame and wakame that are to be found at your local Asian market.
Silica which forma part of the starches hat make up hair, is found in common vegetables such as onions, garlic, green leafy vegetables, carrots, cucumber and bell pepper and most sprouted seeds
Growth of hair depends on the kidneys. If your kidneys are strong your hair will be strong. Healthy kidneys produce lots of fast growing hair. Therefore take care of your kidneys drink adequate amounts of water and avoid salt.

Step by Step Classic Bridesmaid Style

The modern bun, or chignon, is a favourite hairstyle among fashionable women. It's surprisingly quick and easy, and it's sure to win you a few admiring glances. If you have at least semi-long hair this will be easier to do.
Begin with clean, dry, tangle-free hair. You may opt to blow curly or wavy hair straight for a smoother look. Work a little mousse through your hair and tame any flyaway hair with a drop of anti-frizz serum before starting your chignon.
Brush your hair back into a low ponytail. Shorter side layers can be pinned back with jewelled hair pins or a headband. Get a firm grip around the base of the ponytail and use your other hand to twist the tail into a tight spiral.
Hold the base of the ponytail with one hand, and then lift the tail straight up with the other. Begin to coil it clockwise around the base. When you've made half of a circle, release the hand holding the base and use it to hold the forming bun as you continue to coil the tail of the chignon.
Complete one rotation - a little more if you have longer hair - then tuck the end of the tail under the chignon. If your hair is long enough, you might be able to push the tail through the bun and make a knot.
Secure the chignon using a few prong-shaped bobby pins or a hair stick. Push one pin through at any outside edge, collecting a small amount of the bun as you make the insertion. Secure the opposite side with a second pin.
If your hair isn’t long enough invest in a doughnut they’re for sale in Pennys at the moment for €1.50 this is a foam doughnut that you can add to the base of a ponytail to pin the ends into.
You can personalise your very chignon by having smooth hair or a loose curly finish depending on your gown for the day.
You might want or create a braid at the front for more of a Grecian finish or a high rock a Billy quiff for that’s 50’s vibe
Your bridesmaid might feel more comfortable having a few tresses loose around her hairline or all swept back of her face.
Depending on your neckline you might want to create an asymmetric finish or a high ballet bun or low Spanish bun at the nape of your neck.
