SEX AND HEALTH
Improve your Diet and Your Sex Life
Losing a few pounds could have a dramatic impact on your sex life. A study by researchers at Duke University found that obese people who shed around 10 percent of their body weight report a greatly improved sex life. Although a number of reports have been written on the physical effects that obesity can have on a person’s sex life, the Duke University study is one of the first to examine the mental and emotional implications of obesity and sexuality. According to the findings, even a moderate weight loss can lead to a better body image and a more satisfying sex life.
Sex best stress buster for public speaking
Sex may be the best way to prepare for a speech. A study, reported in the New Scientist magazine, found that penetrative sex is one of the best ways of reducing the pressure associated with stressful situations. Dr Stuart Brody who conducted the study said that sexual behaviour is associated with a wide range of positive effects on behaviour.
Fancy an Orgazzzzzm?
Researchers in Toronto have identified a sleep disorder they have dubbed ‘sexsomnia’. Sexsomnia affects around 4% of adults and causes them to try and have sex while asleep. Researchers think the condition is not a psychological or sexual problem, but is caused by irregular brain activity.
The good news is that you now have a great excuse to try and persuade your sleeping partner to wake up and put out.
Men too Stressed for Sex
A survey by the University of Hamburg has found that men in their 30s and 40s are avoiding sex because they simply don’t have the energy. According to the research, the average man has sex 4 to 10 times a month, but only a generation ago, this age group would have had sex around 18 to 22 times a month. Frank Sommer, who conducted the survey, believes that daily stress is the cause leaving men too tired and uninterested.
