Hello style lovers !
I’m going to use my very first blog to introduce myself and let you all know a little bit about how I ended up working in the crazy world of fashion.
My name is Faye Rooney and I’m a model and nightclub hostess. I’ve been modelling for two hectic years now and I hostess for the largest club in Ireland The Wright Venue.
It all started when I stumbled upon a photographer in a local nightclub, the amazing Nadia Power. She saw my potential and gave me a free shoot which helped me learn everything I know today.
As Nadia’s fame grew, so did her contacts and the hugely successful Andrea Roche came across my pictures on her profile. Andrea then asked me to do my first professional shoot, a bridal shoot believe it or not to which I along with the great Rosanna Davison (Miss World 2003), Daniella Moyles and Dana Arikane graced the cover. What a first shoot!
I then joined Andrea in the opening of her new agency as one of her new faces. I enjoyed my time with AR agency and learnt a lot, she is a brilliant business woman. I left in 2010 and joined Assets Modelling Agency. I’m currently still with them doing shows, shoots and promotions and loving it J
In June of this year I was named Miss Wright Venue and entered into the Miss Ireland pageant. I placed into the final 7 out of 30 girls. The pageant is a fantastic platform for anyone who wants to begin modelling. The contacts you will meet, lessons you will learn and the friends you will make will stand to you in this rollercoaster journey.
As this is a wedding style site I will be posting anything and everything to do with weddings, bridal shows, makeup tips, diet tips whatever you like my advice is here for you readers. I’m very much aware that I have never been married but I feel my experience in Bridal shows/shoots, trying on a zillion million dresses, having all the different hair styles etc, having used every kind of makeup, linked with the stress of the fashion/modelling world my advice may be useful to some of you guys- I’m here to help!
So, I hope you enjoyed my first blog introducing myself, I’ll begin asap blogging on bride-related emergencies and will be at hand everyday to help you with any queries.
